Brand
Hervé Léger is a fashion label founded by Hervé Léger. Léger was known for his slim fitting dresses using materials traditionally associated with foundation garments to create dresses that mold and shape the wearer's figure with its signature bandage-like strips. The figure-sculpting bandage dress was a staple in the late eighties and nineties, and has resurfaced on the formidable forms of celebs and socials. Founded in 1985 by Hervé Léger, BCBG Max Azria acquired the French label in 1999. In 2007, Max Azria relaunched the line under his own direction and currently designs it. He’s added beads, feathers, cashmere insets and appliqué to vary the legendary look to the current times which have resonated with several fashionistas of this generation. The front row of Herve Leger's runway shows are often populated with actresses and celebrities attired in the brand's signature bandage dresses such as Lindsay Lohan, Rihanna and Kate Bosworth.
