Estée Lauder is one of the world's leading manufacturers and marketers of skin care, cosmetics, perfume and hair care products. The brand includes subsidiaries such as Aveda, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, Bumble and bumble, and M.A.C. It’s spokesmodel roster has always contained A-list names; Hilary Rhoda, Carolyn Murphy, and Elizabeth Hurley are just a few of the faces that are featured in Lauder’s ad campaigns. The company began in 1946, when husband and wife team, Joseph and Estée Lauder, began producing cosmetics in their New York City apartment. What began with only four products (super rich all purpose cream, a creme pack, cleansing oil and a skin lotion) shortly grew into one of the most well-known names in the cosmetics industry. Two years after their launch, they established their first department store account with Saks Fifth Avenue. Since then, Estée Lauder has grown into a global brand reaching millions of consumers every year.
