Brand
The House of Christian Dior was born in 1947. After working with designers [[Robert Pigue]] and [[Lucien Lelong]], [[Christian Dior]] decided to open his own fashion house. As a designer, Dior took his stylings to new heights, most notably with his “New Look” designs which encompassed voluptuous silhouettes with boned, bustier bodices and skirts that flared out from the waist and finished with a hem that flattered any woman's calves. Even after Dior’s passing, the house grew in success as [[Yves Saint Laurent]] took over, and later it changed hands to [[Marc Bohan]] and then to [[Gianfranco Ferrè]]. Since 1996, [[John Galliano]] has stood at the helm of the company maintaining Christian Dior’s original visions of style while also innovatively contributing his own. To this day Christian Dior remains as one of the world’s most famous French designers.
