Carter Smith's fashion and portrait photography has a unique sense of charm and creativity. Smith has created campaigns for Tommy Hilfiger, TSE, DKNY, Tiffany & Co., Levi's, Clarins and Lancôme Paris. His editorial work appears in Vogue, Teen Vogue, Allure, GQ, including other international Vogue's and The New York Times Magazine.Smith has also developed a talent for filmmaking with projects for Tommy Hilfiger Fragrance, Lacoste, Kohl's, and DKNY along with directing music videos. Currently, his film projects are represented by White Label.His first film, “Bugcrush”, received the Jury Prize in Short Filmmaking at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival and was a part of the 2006 Directors' Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival. Smith recently completed his first feature length film, “The Ruins”, based on the novel.
