Born in Irving, TX, US
Erin Wasson was born on January 20, 1982 in Irving, Texas. In 1999, her father entered her into a Dallas modeling contest, Kim Dawson Agency Model Search. Winning that contest dramatically changed her life. A sports-girl at heart, it was then that Wasson got discovered and today, is considered as one of fashion’s established supermodels. Since debuting on the spring shows for Costume National, Balenciaga and Givenchy in 2000, Wasson has also walked international runways for every A-list designer including Giorgio Armani, Chloe, Gucci, Karl Lagerfeld and Lanvin. Over the years of her modeling career, Wasson has worked with some of the industry’s most noted photographers: Steven Meisel, Peter Lindbergh, Patrick Demarchlier and in 2002, Mario Testino personally requested Wasson for an ad campaign for D&G. Off the runway, Wasson has also landed covers of top fashion magazines such as Vogue Espana, Allure and Esquire. Known for her effortless sense of style, Wasson’s been featured in magazines countless of times regarding her approach with fashion. Needless to say, Wasson soon began to serve as an advisor and muse to CFDA Award Winning designer, Alexander Wang. In spring 2008, Erin launched her own jewelry line, Lowluv. In the following year, she then launched a womens-wear collection with the fashion brand, RVCA.
