Soon after she was born, Strokous and her family moved to Benin, Africa where she lived and studied until the age of 5. At 17, Strokous was discovered and signed with IMG Models in 2007. Since the representation of IMG, Strokous has been praised by designers and fashion editors everywhere. In Sept. 2007, she debuted at the Prada RTW Spring/Summer 2007 show and Marni RTW Spring/Summer 2007 show. Within the same month, Models.com featured her as one of the “IMG Power Generation” models. In May 2007, she debuted in Fashion Week in Milan and Paris; of those debuts, she walked in the Prada show as an exclusive. In 2003, V magazine featured her in their Top 10 Models of 2008. Since her debut, Daria has walked the runways for Narciso Rodriguez, Vera Wang, Saab, Valentino, Christian Lacroix, Calvin Klein, Jill Stuart and Lanvin. Strokous also took part of a new online magazine, Nomenusquarterly, a collaboration of a new collection, The Row; a fashion line created by Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen.
