Dan Caten, along with identical twin brother, Dean Caten, are the designing duo behind the luxury fashion label, DSquared2. Before their own line, the brothers worked as designers for Gianni Versace and Diesel. Dean and Dan debuted their men's collection in 1994, and in 2003, added a womenswear collection to their label. Always showmen, the pair are famous for their over the top style, and outlandish runway shows. The brothers have a close relationship with the music industry and have designed costumes for huge names including Britney Spears, Madonna, and Justin Timberlake, in addition other music super stars have walked the DSquared2 runway including Rihanna and Fergie. Dan and Dean Caten have been the recipients of numerous awards including the GQ Spanish Award “Man of the Year” as well as GQ Germany’s “Best Designer of the Year” award. The Caten’s have been awarded a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame and in 2010 were named the official headline talent costume designers for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
