Katherine Wolkoff

Photographer

Katherine Wolkoff received her M.F.A. in photography from Yale School of Art in 2003 and was awarded the Richard Dixon Welling Prize.  Wolkoff has an exceptional skill that expands into portraiture and landscape photography.  She makes the ordinary look extraordinary.  Her photographs are extremely delicate yet mesmerizing. In September 2005, Wolkoff’s first solo exhibit opened at Danziger Projects in New York.  In 2008, her second exhibit was opened. Wolkoff has worked on advertising campaigns for Jack Spade, Sharp and Black Rock.  Her editorial work has been featured in The New York Times Magazine, W, Gourmet, Cookie and Travel & Leisure.   Wolkoff photographed a one-year cycle of the devastating aftermath of hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. The series of photographs was quickly published in Aperture magazine and in October 2006, it was presented at a panel discussion.
