Stewart Shining is a photographer who grew up in Rapid City, South Dakota. He studied at Parsons The New School of Design in the early 1980s has since worked on advertising campaigns for brands including Abercrombie & Fitch, Victoria’s Secret, J. Crew, and Ralph Lauren. Shining has created covers and editorials for fashion publications including Flair, and Lucky. In his spare time, Shining serves on the board of directors for the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation. He also volunteers to take photographs for the Heart Gallery of New Jersey, assisting children in finding adoptive parents.
