Introduction Brett Ratner is a highly distinguished and successful director that has made films that all together earned one billion dollars worldwide. He attended New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts starting at the age of 16. This has led Brett to direct big box office hits and many music videos with famous music artists. Career Highlights Brett made his big debut at the age of 26 directing his first feature film Money Talks, starring Charlie Sheen and Chris Tucker. He went on to direct other big hits such as Rush Hour, Rush Hour 2, Red Dragon and X-Men: The Last Stand. He has also worked with a wide variety of music artists, for instance Mariah Carey, Jessica Simpson, Madonna, P Diddy and many others. He won an MTV Video Music Award for “Best Video for a Film” for Madonna’s “Beautiful Stranger.” Brett also won an MTV Movie Award for Best Fight Sequence for Rush Hour 2. He has also won a Tony and received the Spirit of Chrysalis Award. Brett has also published two books, Naked Pictures of my Ex-Girlfriends and Hilhaven Lodge: The Photo Booth Pictures. His photography has also shown up in Vanity Fair, Vogue Homme and V-Life. In addition, he has also shot fashion campaigns for Baby Phat and Jimmy Choo. Personal Life Brett was born in Miami Beach, Florida in 1971. He attended NYU Film School at the age of 16, being the youngest film major in the department. He has grown to be an established director and awarded for his devotion and headship in helping the unfortunate and homeless by changing their lives through their jobs. He also participates on the boards of Chrysalis and Best Buddies and helps on the Dean’s council of the NYY Tisch School of the Arts.
