Jacques Dequeker is a native of Porto Alegre, Brazil. A self-taught photographer, Dequeker began his career in 1997. Just three years later, he published his first works in Vogue Brasil, and has been a regular contributor to the title ever since. In 2002, Dequeker won the Brazilian Association of Textile Industry award for best fashion photographer in his home country. The resulting attention garnered the photographer regular work in titles such as Marie Claire France, Glamour Paris, and V Magazine, to name but a few.
