Italian born Giorgio Armani, is a fashion designer best known for his exquisite menswear collections. In 1961 until 1970, Armani worked as an assistant designer for fashion house Nino Cerruti. In 1975, he introduced his first womenswear line. Now, Armani consists of numerous lines including Armani Alta Moda (haute couture), Borgonuovo 21, Giorgio Armani, Le Collezioni, Mani, Emporio Armani, Armani Exchange, Armani Jeans, Armani Neve, Armani Golf and Classico.Armani has received several well-earned awards and recognitions throughout his career including the Neiman Marcus Award in 1979 and the CFDA International Award in 1983. Today, Armani collections are sold all over the world in major fashion capitols. In 2007, it was reported that he was worth an estimated $4.1 billion.
