Moroccan-born Alber Elbaz began his career in fashion with Geoffrey Beene. In 1996, Elbaz was appointed head of ready-to-wear for Guy Laroche and later became the artistic director for Yves Saint Laurent. His current title is Creative Director of the brand, Lanvin.
