Mary McCartney was born in 1969 in London and began her career in photography in 1995.  McCartney’s work has been featured in magazines including Harper’s Bazaar, Interview, Marie Claire and Vogue España.  McCartney has photographed major fashion advertising campaigns for brands including Gossard, Stella McCartney, Adidas, Mandarin Oriental, Bucherer, Aga, and PETA. In 2000, McCartney took the first official photo of Tony and Cherie Blair and their newborn son, Leo.  McCartney has taken numerous portraits of renowned icons including Stella McCartney, Jude Law, Bono, Sienna Miller, Roberto Cavalli, Kate Hudson, Kate Moss and Leona Lewis, to say the least. In 2004, McCartney held her first solo exhibition, “Off Pointe,” a photographic study of “Off Pointe- A Photographic Study of The Royal Ballet After Hours” in which she was exposed to the world of the elite Corps De Ballet.  The series consists entirely of black and white photographs from an intimate aspect of ballet showcasing the chaos and prestige behind the complicated life of a dancer.  In 2007, her work in fashion photography was showcased in the Goss Michael Foundation in Dallas entitled “Playing Dress Up” a collection of photographs from the catwalk and backstage from the world of high fashion.
