Freja Beha was born on October 18, 1987 in Roskilde, Denmark. After being discovered in the streets of Copenhagen, Beha signed with IMG Models in 2004. In 2005, Beha shined as the year’s break-out star with appearances in three major advertisement campaigns, Balenciaga, Jil Sander, and TSE. She has since then appeared in prints and campaigns for the following fashion-brands: Gucci, Chanel, Hugo Boss, Chloe, the GAP, Calvin Klein, Balenciaga, Gianfranco Ferre, and Pringle. In one season, Beha walked a total of 64 shows. To date, some of those designers include Alexander McQueen, Miu Miu, Missoni, Stella McCartney, Carolina Herrera, Derek Lam, Zac Posen, D&G, Lanvin, Miss Sixty, Alexander Wang, Vera Wang, AKRIS, Narciso Rodriguez, William Rast, Prada, Versace, and DSquared2. Magazine editors and photographers began to take notice worldwide. Beha is consistently in fashion magazines and has been featured in Vogue, Vogue Italia, Vogue UK, Vogue China, Vogue Japan, Vogue Russia, V, W, Harper’s Bazaar, Numéro, Pop, and Dazed & Confused. In May 2009, Models.com ranked her #9 on the “Top 50 Models” list.
