Lakshmi Menon was born in Bangalore, India, It wasn’t until she became the sole face of Hermés in 2008, that her life changed significantly. She then appeared in campaigns for Neiman Marcus, H&M, Givenchy and Max Mara. Working with leading fashion houses led her to be photographed by leading fashion photographers, also. To date, Menon has been photographed by Thierry le Goues, Jon Compson, Inez van Lamsweerde, Vinoodh Matadin, Mario Testino, Terry Richardson, Josh Olins and Mikael Jansson. Menon was first featured on the cover of the premier issue of Vogue India alongside Gemma Ward and has since been on the covers of L’Officiel India, Dazed & Confused and Elle India. Since walking for Hermés and Jean Paul Gaultier in 2007, Menon’s runway experience now includes Carolina Herrera, La Perla, Ohne Titel, Diane von Furstenberg, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Vera Wang, Alessandro Dell’Acqua, D&G and Stella McCartney, among others.
