Bianca Balti was born in Lodi, Italy on March 19, 1984. In 2003, she was rejected by numerous agencies, such as Elite Model Management, saying she was “too average and common” looking. Balti was working in a supermarket to save up for her studies when she was discovered by an agent, Bruno Pauletta. In July 2004, Balti signed with IMG Models. Debuting in spring 2004, Balti walked for Costume National, Dolce & Gabbana, Miu Miu, Hermés and Lanvin. By 2005, Balti was featured as a Top Ten Newcomer by Style.com. Her first notable campaign was for Dolce & Gabbana.  To date, Balti’s campaigns consist of Roberto Cavalli, Donna Karan, Christian Dior, D&G, Valentino, Armani Jeans, Missoni, Rolex, Guess, Revlon, La Perla, Mango, and Thierry Mugler. Since the Spring/Summer 2005 shows, Balti was in high demand for the runway and appeared in every season’s shows for designers such as Karl Lagerfield, Gianfranco Ferré, Marc Jacobs, Alexander McQueen, Givenchy, Zac Posen, Hermés, John Galliano, Gucci, Fendi, Prada, Valentino, Missoni, Chanel, Bottega Veneta, DSquared2, Oscar de la Renta, Narciso Rodriguez, Ralph Lauren, and Carolina Herrera. Bianca has appeared on the covers of L’Officiel, Numéro, Marie Claire Italia, Vogue Espana, Harper’s Bazaar UK, Playboy, and fashion editorials for Vogue Italia, Vogue Japan, Allure, and Vanity Fair Germany.
