Jessica Stam is a model whose career was jump started by photographer Steven Meisel in 2002 who chose to cast Stam in multiple campaigns he was working on. It wasn’t long until 2003 when other fashion editors, designers, and photographers started to follow. Since then, Stam has been a muse for top designers; in 2005, Marc Jacobs designed the “Stam Bag“ instanstly becoming an “it bag.” In 2008, She escorted Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler to the Costume Institute Gala. Aside from being a fashion muse, Stam has appeared on the covers of nearly every top fashion magazine including Vogue, AnOther Magazine, and V. She has also worked on various campaigns for H&M and Dolce & Gabbana. Most recently Stam became the face of Aldo for their Fall/Winter 2010 campaign and continues to be one of the most successful models in the industry.
