Bruce Weber is an iconic American photographer. Weber was born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania on March 29th, 1946. Weber has photographed ad campaigns since the 70’s and is famous for his work with American designers; Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Perry Ellis, and Abercrombie & Fitch. In 1966, at the age of 20, Weber moved to New York City to attend NYU and study photography. In 1974 Weber had his first solo photography show and his career began to rise. Weber is known for using nudity in his photographs some with an erotic undertone. Throughout his career he has been known as a photographer, director, and screenwriter and has worked with publications including Vanity Fair, Vogue, and Interview. Bruce Weber is known to only shoot with film not digital, he has compiled over half a dozen books of his work.
