Scott Sternberg was working as a talent agent when he decided it was time to quit his job and launch his own line. Launched in January of 2004 and based out of Los Angeles, Band of Outsiders is sold in high end retailers such as Barneys. Sternberg feels that by living in Los Angeles, his brand has an edge that the New York brands don’t, the CFDA agrees that his work is marvelous, because in 2009 they awarded him the prestigious title of Best Menswear Designer of the Year. Band of Outsiders has worked on many collaborations with names such as Sperry Top-Slider, Glenmac, and LEGO® minifigure.
