Vera Wang is a fashion designer best known for her elaborate wedding gowns. Before beginning her line, Wang worked as a Senior Fashion Editor at Vogue for sixteen years.  In 1985, she left Vogue to join Ralph Lauren as the Design Director for two years.  In 1990, Wang opened her own design studio and since then has designed wedding gowns for top celebrities including Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, and Victoria Beckham. Wang’s collection has been expanded to include fragrance, jewelry, eyewear, shoes and lingerie. In 2005, Wang won the Council of Fashion Designers of America Womenswear Designer of the Year.  Wang also creates a China and Crystal Collection as well as a budget collection, Simply Vera by Vera Wang, sold exclusively at Kohl’s.
