Stylist | Fashion Editor
Emanuelle Alt is the recently appointed Editor in Chief of Vogue Paris. Taking over for the much lauded Carine Roitfeld, Alt’s appointment to the post seemed a no-brainer. Alt and Roitfeld started at Vogue Paris at the same time, both as young fashion editors. Each was instrumental in reigniting international interest in the magazine. Though Alt comes with a fashion pedigree as impressive as Roitfeld’s, the difference between the two seems to be one of aesthetics. Whereas Roitfeld is known for her love of half-naked editorials provocatively shot, Alt has a more feminine aesthetic and is determined to showcase fashion, as opposed to naked bodies. Having been a stylist herself, Alt is also a proponent of nurturing the careers of young up-and-coming stylists- an intention she can finally realize in her new position.
