Born on July 4, 1983 in the southern Brazilian city of Curitiba, Fontana got bit by the modeling bug at a very young age. In 1996, she placed third at the Brazilian Elite Model Look contest and moved to Milan a year later to pursue modeling seriously. At age 15, Fontana debuted on the runways of Michael Kors, Versace, and Givenchy. She also modeled for the Victoria’s Secret catalog the same year. Not bad for a girl who cannot even legally drive.
