Model

Born in London, United Kingdom, GB

Jacquetta Wheeler is a British model known for her long, lean legs and runway strut.  Born on October 16, 1981 in London, Wheeler was discovered by photographer Mario Testino on the street in 1998.  She became his muse, and in the same year he photographed her for various Vogue editorials.  Thanks to support from one of the most influential fashion photographers, Wheeler quickly took hold of the industry. In 1999, Wheeler modeled for Olay advertisements, became the face of Gucci, landed the cover of Vogue Italia, and was named “Model of the Millenium” by The Face Magazine.  She continued to have great success the next year as well.  On the runway, she opened the fall Prada show and closed the spring Alexander McQueen show.  Additionally, she continued to model for Gucci and also Calvin Klein.  Since then, Wheeler’s resume has expanded to include posing for Yves Saint Laurent Beauty, Ralph Lauren, Roberto Cavalli, and more.  She has walked for many designer labels and has been featured on the covers of Vogue British, Tatler, Harper’s & Queen, and Amica.  Wheeler has also expanded beyond the realm of high fashion.  She has modeled for Gap and Victoria’s Secret, starred in a music video for James Carrington, and worked as an activist for the Darna Center for Girls in Tangier.  Thanks to her beauty, talent, and dedication, Wheeler has become one of the most popular and highest paid models today.
